The Ontario dive season is slowly coming to an end. So for all who can't get enough or want to reconnect with diving: a quick warm easy dive nearby (1.5hrs from Toronto) at the Kirkfield Quarry! The dive site is ideal for beginners and practice, about 30ft deep, pretty good viz and some underwater entertainment in the form of cars, a plane and a sunken forest.

See for location and underwater features also:

We'll all try to get together around 11 in the morning do as many dives as we like and get back home whenever you want. The quarry does not have a scuba shop near by so you should bring / rent tanks and equipment from the city. If you are looking for rentals, let me know what you need and I'll try to get a nice price for us all at a dive shop in town.

If you are looking for a dive buddy and or a ride or have a place in your car, let us know through the RSVP and we'll do our best to match.

The costs for entering the quarry are $10 for the owner of this dive site.

    •  Had a great time getting to know Maggie, Ellie and Patricia and get a nice dive in. Nicole tested her gear and it's... awesome! Saw sunken shrub and a big green blob.

This was my first fresh water dive. I had a wonderful time. The rest of the group was awesome and most helpful. I can't wait to meet up with these folks again!
    •  It was my first dive in Canada. It was an interesting experience. Water was warm but a bit murky and if you touched the bottom it was like swimming through a sandstorm. However, it was super interesting to see the sunken plane, boat, playground and a few other odds and sods. There was also some interesting plant growth. The best part of the dive was the group we were with. It was great meeting you guys and I look forward to doing it again.
